Gear manufacturers bridge collapse relief effort...

Would any builders/manufacturers of guitar gear be interested in a relief effort targeted for the bridge collapse situation in Mpls/St.Paul, similar to the relief efforts in the past for the tsunami & hurricane disasters? This is an inquiry to see if there would be any interest, and/or promote interest.
If so, please post a reply in this thread, & we'll see how it goes & take it from there.

I don't mean to sound cold, because it was a tragedy and it never should have happened. However I don't think the situation is similar to the hurricane or tsunami disasters. People didn't lose their homes and won't be out on the street with no food, clothing, shelter etc. Auto insurance will cover the damage to their vehicles, the government will rebuild the bridge, etc. I don't see where a relief effort is needed, except maybe for the families of those who didn't survive.
